As a proud UTS and NHHS graduate, as well as a dedicated Eagle Scout, Nicholas considers it a privilege to give back to the community that nurtured him.
Nicholas's decision to run for the Union Township Committee is grounded in the principle of "Service Above Self." He believes in putting the needs and well-being of his neighbors before personal interests and in delivering results, not engaging in partisan politics.
Driven by a genuine desire to serve fellow residents, he aims to address concerns and work tirelessly to enhance the quality of life in Union Township. If elected Nick will move to reduce the township committee salaries to $1 for an annual savings of $23,000 for the public's benefit. This is about service, not monetary compensation.

Union is fortunate to have picturesque open land, and Nicholas is committed to fostering sustainable development practices that prioritize the long-term well-being of the community while preserving the distinctive heritage and cultural identity of Union.
Previously, he advised several civic groups in New Jersey in their efforts to mitigate the warehouse sprawl that has plagued pastoral parts of the state. Nicholas will bring similar experience and drive to the township's committee. A vote for him is a vote against warehouses.
Nicholas believes that Union residents pay their fair share in taxes, and more. He will work to bring those dollars home.
He is committed to being a strong advocate with state officials to ensure that those tax dollars return to benefit the community. He recognizes that Union is best positioned to receive funding when leaders from both parties work together in a bipartisan way.
Drawing on his previous service in civic organizations and his experience as one of the youngest candidates for the state legislature in history, Nicholas has built connections with several relevant stakeholders to make this a reality.
For example, when the NH-V district needed $16,000,000 to advance vocational education—an essential facet of preparing students for critical sectors—Nicholas used his connections with state officials to lead a group that effectively advocated to the NJ Senate budget committee leadership, making it clear that this was a priority for Union and Hunterdon residents.
Liberty and Prosperity are more than just New Jersey's official state motto; they embody the dreams and principles that have shaped the state's rich history and character. These tenets reflect a deep-rooted belief in individual freedoms, economic opportunities, and the collective pursuit of an improved quality of life for every resident.
By endorsing Nicholas LaBelle's vision for Union Township, you contribute to the realization of a future where individual liberties, such as those protected by the 1st Amendment, are safeguarded, environmentally conscious economic prosperity is fostered, and the community flourishes as a united entity.
